About Us

Davidson Middle School sits on a sprawling campus in central San Rafael and serves students in grades 6-8. We are proud that DMS serves an ethnically and culturally diverse student population. The school has served generations of San Rafael families, while also warmly welcoming recent immigrants. In inclusive, safe and collaborative environments that are ideal for middle-school aged students, students have opportunities to discover and grow their unique interests. The District's Graduate Profile articulates the skills needed to succeed in this rapidly changing world, and DMS is committed to developing these skills so every student is prepared for high school and ready to pursue their goals.

DMS's success is made possible by the work of outstanding staff and unparalleled community support. Talented teachers meet students’ individual needs as they learn, innovate and thrive in enriching environments. Multiple parent organizations and a District foundation provide enhanced experiences and additional support programs. Working in partnership with the District, DMS is guided by a Together 2024 Blueprint and the District values of equity, community and joy.
