Meet the Counselors!
7th Grade Counselor
Chantel Sharp

Hi DMS Families and Students!
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I’m so excited to be entering my fifth year at Davidson and fifth year as a School Counselor. This year, I will be supporting our 7th Grade Cougars with academic success, social-emotional growth, and navigating the middle school years.
I grew up in Lincoln, California, before earning my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Nevada, Reno, and my Master of Arts in Counseling from Brandman University.
Outside of school, I love staying active—a habit from my years playing competitive soccer and basketball—and spending quality time with my family, friends, and my dog, Sadie.
I look forward to partnering with you all for a fantastic year ahead. Go Cougars!

Hi Everyone!
I’m excited to be back at Davidson as the 8th grade counselor and to continue working with many of the students I had the opportunity to support last year. I’m passionate about supporting students as they navigate the academic, social, and emotional challenges of middle school, and I value building strong relationships with students, families, and staff.
This is my 19th year in education, and I’ve had the opportunity to work with students across a variety of grade levels and settings throughout my career. I grew up in San Francisco and now live in San Rafael with my husband, our 6th grader and 3rd grader, and our pets. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, arts and crafts, and spending time with family and friends.
I’m looking forward to another great year and to supporting our 8th grade students as they grow, thrive, and make the most of their final year at Davidson!
6th Grade Counselor
Suzy Murray

Hello Cougars!
I am happy to begin my 3rd year at Davidson. I am thrilled to be working with a new group of students as they enter their 1st year at DMS. There will be many opportunities for me to work with the 6th graders over the next three years, and I am looking forward to getting to know them. Students meet with me for a variety of reasons including academic achievement, regular individual support and when social or emotional needs arise.
When I’m not at work I can be found hanging out with my wife, our two kids and our little doggie. I grew up in New York State and moved to California 20 years ago. Due to this, we love to spend our time exploring the many things California has to offer and enjoying the amazing weather!
