Dear San Rafael City Schools Community,
As we close out the 2025-26 school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on our journey and express my deepest gratitude for your involvement and support.
To our parents, families and community partners: Thank you for your partnership and trust. Education is a truly collaborative journey, and your ongoing commitment is essential to everything we strive to achieve for our students. Your dedication to supporting your child’s learning, attending events and staying engaged makes a lasting impact, and we value the countless ways you’ve shown up for your children and our schools.
To our educators, staff and administrators: Your unwavering dedication and commitment are the heartbeat of our District. We are deeply grateful for the incredible effort you put forth to ensure a safe, engaging and supportive environment for every learner. It is a privilege to serve alongside such an inspiring and devoted team. I hope you take a moment to reflect on the important work you have accomplished.
To our students: Your curiosity and resilience inspire us every day. It’s a privilege to watch you grow, take on new challenges and celebrate every milestone along the way!
This week across the District, we're in the midst of celebrating promotions and graduations, opportunities to honor the hard work and growth of our remarkable students as they advance to new challenges and opportunities. Thank you to all in our greater SRCS community who helped make these moments possible!
We especially extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2026! Your accomplishments fill us with pride, and we can’t wait to see what comes next in your journey. Our ceremonies officially began yesterday with Madrone High School (photos left). Madrone’s graduates have each traveled a unique path, demonstrating resilience, determination and a commitment to achieving their goals. Their success is a testament to the strength of our students, families and educators, and we are proud to celebrate this milestone with them as they embark on their next chapter.
Lastly, I want to highlight that throughout this school year, we collaborated with our Board of Education, students, teachers, staff, families, partners and community members to refresh the District's strategic plan, formerly known as Together 2024. Led by a Strategic Plan Refresh Taskforce, we gathered input on what our community values most about our schools, as well as opportunities for continued improvement, to inform our updated strategic plan. We are deeply grateful for all who contributed to the work, which will help to shape next steps and focus for our District. We are proud that our refreshed plan continues to be grounded in our vision for student success and is aligned with SRCS' values of equity, community and joy. We plan to bring the final version [linked here] to our Board on June 16.
I hope all of our students, staff and families take some time this summer to rest, recharge and spend quality time with loved ones. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in August for another fantastic school year.
Thank you for being an important part of the SRCS family.
